We will allow walking on the Devlin Course beginning at noon, temperatures are forecasted to remain in the 30s until then. We ask that members refrain from using any of the practice greens as there may be frozen soil underneath the surface,

We as a department are monitoring the weather forecast for the upcoming weekend. We see that there are temperatures forecasted in the upper 40s and maybe approach 50 degrees, however we are still looking at a good deal of snow coverage throughout the property. We will continue to monitor conditions as the week progresses and update this site with information regarding winter golf.
Thank you,
JA
Please keep our staff in mind as we remove snow and as members make their way to/from the club. Visibility is limited as we plow snow and equipment tends to slide in slick conditions, please allow extra space during this season.
Thank you,
JA
Our area will be under a Winter Storm Winter Warning from 7pm Monday evening through 10am Wednesday morning. Total snow accumulation of 8"-12" and wind gusts as high as 35 mph.

Last evening we did not experience temperatures in the freezing range, however our current temps are in the mid 30s which can cause a heavy frost. We will monitor these conditions and update the pro shop and this website in the event of a delay.
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We will allow golf today without delay, however due to the wet weather conditions that we have experienced; we will restrict carts to paths only.
It is with great pride that I can announce that James Dobbins, Weiskopf Course Superintendent, has been elected to the Northern Ohio Golf Course Superintendents Association as a Trustee. James joins me on the board as we both look to give back to the industry that we love. As president of the association, I know that James will be a great addition and look forward to all of his input.
Congrats James!!

We will be preparing the Weiskopf Course for member play this morning and will allow carts off of paths. There will be the following exceptions: we ask that all carts drive on fairways and avoid the rough and there is no cart traffic on #s 4 & 6. We have included #4 on this list due to the flooding that occurred on this fairway two weeks ago.
We will be preparing the Devlin Course this morning for member play and we will begin the day as cart path only. We are going to begin the day as cart path only due to the amount of leaves that we are planning on chopping this morning; we will continue to evaluate course conditions and make changes when possible.
For the first time in over 2 weeks we have gone over 24 hours without measurable precipitation. Today we will begin a stretch of what should be warm and dry weather, with that being said; we will start the day with carts on paths only and continue monitor conditions and make changes if/when applicable. There are still slick areas throughout the property and ask that golfers use caution. We will be preparing the Weiskopf Course for member play, our goal is to remove leaves from greens and tees today and than get on fairways beginning tomorrow.
1pm: Walking is permitted on the Devlin Course, all practice areas will remain closed throughout the day. Tomorrow we will be preparing the Weiskopf Course for member play. As a reminder; we will be without portable bathrooms for the remainder of the season. The bathrooms at the Weiskopf House and the pool will remain open until we experience long term cold temperatures.
8am: We have one tree that was brought down due the winds over the past 24 hours, it is out of play and has little impact on the courses.
We will allow walking on the Devlin Course this afternoon, once temperatures approach 40 degrees, roughly 1pm-2pm. The current temperature is 34 degrees and we are still experiencing strong winds with an advisory in effect from 4pm this afternoon until 1am tomorrow morning. We will be making our way through both courses this morning to take stock of any tree damage that occurred over the past 24 hours. We will continue to update the blog with pertinent information on start times and weather updates.
With the current weather we will be forced to move all cart traffic to paths only, no exceptions.
We will begin the day allowing carts off of paths and will make necessary adjustments if/when applicable. There are still soft areas throughout the property and ask that ALL TRAFFIC STAY IN FAIRWAYS.
We have received an additional .6" of precipitation over the past 24 hours. This amount on an already saturated course will force us to keep all cart traffic on paths, no exceptions. We will begin the day with the driving range closed and reassess throughout the day and make changes if/when applicable. We have experienced an abnormal amount of rain over the past 14 days (9") and will continue to clear playing surfacing manually before we are able to get large equipment on turf.
Last night we received another .1" of precipitation with more on the way as we experience the leading edge of Hurricane Zeta, rainfall could accumulate up to 1". We will remain cart path only, no exceptions.
Last evening we received .25" of precipitation, this amount of rain will cause us to continue to keep carts on paths, no exceptions. We will be preparing the Devlin Course for member play as the Weiskopf Course will remain closed throughout the day. We ask that golfers exercise caution around the property due to wet conditions.
Yesterday afternoon and through the evening we received an addition .2" of precipitation, we will be forced to continue to keep carts on paths. Since last Monday we have received 7" of precipitation. We will be preparing the Weiskopf Course for member play.
This morning we will be preparing the Devlin Course for a 10am shotgun and the Weiskopf Course for member play. We will begin the day with carts on paths and evaluate the courses throughout the day and make changes if/when appropriate. We did receive a trace amount of precipitation last evening which made an already wet course that much softer. We ask that all golfers use caution as they make their way around the courses.
Last evening we received .75" of precipitation, this amount will force us to keep all carts traffic on paths, no exceptions. We are nearing 6" since Monday which hinders our ability to use heavy machinery to move leaves, we will be working this morning to make sure that we can clear off playing surfaces without causing damage to the turf. This morning I will be checking the property for downed limbs and/or trees and will update the blog in the event of damage.
We will begin the day with carts remaining on paths, we will continue to evaluate conditions and make changes if/when possible. We ask that play begin on the Devlin Course and spill over to the Weiskopf Course when necessary. Both courses will be prepared for member play.
Last evening and into this morning we received an additional .8" of precipitation which will raise of total rainfall over the past 36 hours to 4.5". We did have some light flood damage in the way of a few trees along creek banks and erosion around spillways and culverts. We will begin the cleanup process today that will take time to complete. We do ask that play remain on the Devlin Course so that we can continue to work through debris on the Weiskopf Course.
10am: We will be forced to keep both courses closed throughout the day as we allow the flooding to recede. It appears as though we have some slight damage but nothing catastrophic.
8:30am: 3.5”
6:30am:
We have received 3” of precipitation thus far, we will continue to update this group and the blog with any damage and/or flooding.
11am
We have received .4" of precipitation.
Currently we are experiencing steady which is forecasted to continue through most of the day, we have received .25" so far with more on the way. Carts will be forced to stay on paths without exceptions.
We will be preparing both courses for member play and remind golfers that the Weiskopf Course is fresh off of its fall aerification. We will begin the day allowing carts off of paths however we will return carts to paths in the event of measurable precipitation.
We did not receive any additional precipitation yesterday nor did we experience a frost so there will not be a delay in play and we will allow carts off of paths. There are still wet areas throughout the property and we ask that members and guests to use caution in historically wet areas. Again, there is to be no cart traffic near tees and greens.
Last evening we received .4" of precipitation, this amount will cause us to keep all cart traffic on paths to start the day. As is always the case: we will make necessary changes if/when applicable. Today we will be preparing the Devlin Course for member play and will be concluding our fall aerification of the Weiskopf Course.
We will continue to allow carts off of paths as we prepare the Devlin Course for member play while continuing our fall aerification on the Weiskopf Course. As a status update everything is going as planned on the Weiskopf Course, we are nearing the completion of our sand spread and weather has been cooperating.
We will be preparing the Devlin Course for member play while we continue with our fall aerification on the Weiskopf Course. We will allow carts off of paths however we still have a few select wet areas and ask that golfers use caution. Please keep carts on paths around greens and tees, we have noticed a relaxed attitude towards this practice.
Last evening we received .5" of precipitation, this amount will cause us to restrict carts to paths, no exceptions. Today we will resume our fall aerification of the Weiskopf Course and prepare the Devlin Course for member play.
We will continue to allow carts to cross fairways this morning as we experience dry conditions. We ask that carts remain in fairways when possible and there should not be traffic near greens or tees.
