Course conditions (5.31.2020)

We will remain 90 degrees (carts in fairways) on both courses with the exceptions of all par 3’s and #6 Weiskopf.  The weather for the day calls for highs in the upper 50’s and mostly sunny skies. The range should be set as turf at the cartbarn and mats at the hotel.  Please continue to follow all social distancing policies and do not touch the flagstick.  James Dobbins

Yesterday afternoon and into the evening we received .5" of precipitation.  The total for the last 48 hours is just under 1" of rain, We will be forced to begin the day as cart path only, as is always the case we will continue to monitor conditions and make changes to the cart rule as soon as possible.

Ranges and all putting greens are open and we do ask that members and their guests exercise social distancing.

There will not be a delay in play this morning.  Yesterday late morning and into the afternoon we received .3" of precipitation.  We will allow carts off of paths and ask that traffic remain in fairways with the same exceptions remaining #6 Weiskopf and all par 3s. 

Ranges are open and there will not be a restriction on club use.  There are numerous stakes out on the range floor to alert golf shop staff to not drive over the newly seeded areas.  Putting greens are open and we ask that members exercise social distancing.

Today's forecast calls for temperatures in the low 70s, winds out of the southwest at 10-15 mph, and a 90% chance of precipitation beginning later this morning.  We will return carts to paths in the event of measurable rain.

The ranges will be closed today as we will be performing our our weekly mowing, range divots, and netting repairs.  We will update this blog later this afternoon on the range status.

The putting greens will remain open for members to putt and we ask that they exercise social distancing.

Today's forecast calls for cooler temperatures with a high temperature of 75 degrees, winds light and variable, and a steady rain developing later this morning and continuing through the afternoon.

Course Conditions (5.25.2020)

There will not be a delay in tee times this morning and we will continue to allow carts off of paths and ask that they drive in fairways when possible.  As is always the case; we ask that there is no cart traffic on #6 Weiskopf or any par 3 on either course.

Ranges will be open for iron use only.  Barring any unforeseen issue, we will begin the process of repairing the netting tomorrow morning.

The putting greens are available to members throughout the day; we will be cutting cups on the clubhouse green for this afternoon's putting contest.  As is the case on the courses, please do not touch the flag sticks, there will be inserts in the cup to assist in handling the golf ball.

Today's forecast calls for a very similar day to yesterday: sunny to partly cloudy, a high temperature in the mid 80s with light and variable winds.  There is a slim chance of an afternoon thunderstorm.

There will be no delay in tee times today.  Yesterday afternoon into the early evening we received .3" of precipitation, this amount will not prevent us from allowing carts onto fairways.  We ask that cart traffic remain in fairways until play approaches the green.  The only exception to the rule will be all par 3s and #s 6 & 8 on the Weiskopf Course.  This morning we will be preparing the Weiskopf Course for the MGA Memorial and the Devlin Course for member play.

The ranges will be open for iron use only please.

The practice greens will also be open but we remind our members to exercise social distancing.

                We received 2” of rain yesterday afternoon into evening. We will remain cart path only on both courses with no exceptions. The last 2 days we have received 3.5” of rain. Please remind members and guests to use extreme caution while on the course as it is slick.                    Please assist us in repairing ball marks, replacing divots and maintaining your bunker rake through your entire round.   The range will be open for iron use only, mats at both ends. We will move the first tee times back to 9:30am as this morning's frost was much thicker than yesterday.  The driving range will be accessible beginning at 9am.

We will allow carts off of paths and we ask that traffic remain on the fairways except near the greens and tees.  The only other exceptions to the cart path rules are ALL par 3s and #6 Weiskopf.

As anticipated, we are experiencing a heavy frost and will be confronted with a "Freeze Warning" that extends through Saturday afternoon.  In order to protect the courses we will be forced to keep them both closed today.  We will re-evaluate weather and course conditions tomorrow morning and than make a decision regarding play.

Course Conditions (5.4.2020)

There will not be a delay in tee times this morning as the overnight temperatures stayed in the 40s.  We will continue to allow carts off of the paths and ask that traffic remain on the fairways as there are still wet areas in the rough.  The only exceptions to the cart rule are all par 3s and #6 on the Weiskopf Course.

Today's forecast calls for a mix of clouds and sun, a high temperature of 47, with winds out of the northwest at 10-20 mph.


In an attempt to continue to provide the best possible course conditions from one group to the next; we have equipped golf carts with a bunker rake.  This is so that an individual golfer can rake themselves out of a bunker during the round, return the rake with the cart (as it was received), and can be sanitized with the carts before the next round.

We are going to continue to evolve our practices as we all get used to the new normal.

It is important for all of us to assist in maintaining the courses and fixing ball marks greatly improves the playability and smoothness of the putting service. Please take a couple minutes to view the very informative video in the following link:
