Golf Course Practices in Heat

Some may have noticed the lack of noise from mowers today while you were out on the courses.  The reason that we stop mowing is to avoid injury; mowing turf is the most stressful practice to the plant that we perform, couple that with temperatures in the 90s and we can cause severe damage...damage that can last longer than a few days of heat.  We have also skipped mowing #5 on the Weiskopf Course for a few days due to the micro-climate on that green complex.  We are growing increasingly satisfied with the way in which the two courses are coming along and we are cautious to not overextend the health of the property during an anomaly of a weather pattern.

Please stay hydrated, stay safe, and I look forward to seeing you all on the courses.

Thanks,
JA
