1. We have not completed the cart path repairs, yet. The contracted company and I have been in constant communication to schedule the work that needs to take place. The job will be completed this year however the main obstacle in their way is weather; we need a stretch of dry weather to successfully make the repairs. As of today we have them tentatively scheduled to come out next week to continue the job.
2. Course Rules. Lately we have noticed golfers that take liberties with course rules (cart traffic, ball mark repairs, divots, etc.). My crew works to ensure that the two courses are in the best condition on a daily basis, ultimately it is our membership's property. We make recommendations and suggestions on proper etiquette but it ultimately comes down to the membership and their guests to follow the rules. My staff and I are challenged on a daily basis to maintain 300+ acres of Quail Hollow property, we ask that our membership abide by the rules of the club to help make our job a little easier.
3. We are excited about the upcoming fall season as we prepare to make improvements throughout the two courses. This season has certainly had its challenges; I enjoy the ebbs and flows of a Northeast Ohio growing season. We will continue to look for and address opportunities to improvement; changes do not automatically occur overnight and we appreciate our membership's patience as we make progress.
As is always the case, please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions, comments or concerns. Thank you and I look forward to seeing you all on the courses.
JA
