Soil Temps
I hope that everyone had the opportunity to enjoy the unseasonably warm weather this weekend. We appreciate our members staying off of the courses this weekend as the ground remained frozen despite temps in the upper 40s.

Golf This Weekend
We will not be able to allow golf on either course this weekend due to frozen turf. We have had sub-freezing temperatures for the last 3 days and the overnight temperatures last night were in the teens.
The map above is a tool that we regularly use in planning of some of our cultural processes. As is displayed, the average soil temperature is below freezing and this does not take into consideration shaded or low lying areas.
We as a department are as eager as our membership to get out on the course and provide our pristine conditioning...just not this weekend.

Pull Carts
It was recently brought to my attention that the club's pull carts may not drive straight. This morning we brought all of them over into our maintenance facility and have our pull cart expert Mark working to make sure they are all ready for the 2020 season

Reminder
As the snow returns; I would like to remind our membership to be careful as they enter and exit the club grounds.
We do salt the main walking paths and the most used driveways, there may still be areas that are slick due to ice. Even salt has its limitations when temperatures are in the teens and below.
Finally, it is extremely important that both my guys and our membership pay attention while we are plowing snow during the day. We ask that cars and walkers keep their distance as from both our plows to ensure that accidents do not occur.
Thank you and be careful,
JA

Both courses are closed due to frozen turf, this includes walking on the Devlin Course. Severe damage can occur to the plant when the soil and plant are frozen.

Course Conditions (2.4.2020)
Good morning,
We will allow walking on the Devlin Course only today. There are still frozen areas so we ask that play is restricted to temporary greens only.

Temperatures have been on the rise since the end of this weekend, however we still do have some frozen turf out on both courses and will keep the courses closed. We will re-evaluate conditions tomorrow and update this site if golf will be permitted.
