Red, white, blue stake information

As many of you have noticed, we are moving away from the red, white and blue yardage stakes alongside the fairways on both courses. We will be placing 150 yard posts in the middle of fairways on both courses as well as the red and blue yardage markers that are currently in the ground. We are making this transition for several reasons, including but not limited to a cleaner look to the property. As we have done in the past and will continue to do moving forward; we will always look to improve the courses and your experience. Thank you, Jeff Austin

Course conditions 5-15-18

Quail Hollow Golfing Membership,Since Friday evening we have received 2.1” of precipitation. This rain has certainly given us good color around both properties however it has made us unable to get our rough mowers out on the courses. Our turf is healthy and growing quickly and we realize that it is a longer than what is normal. We will begin to mow as soon as conditions allow. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Thank you, Jeffrey C. Austin Director of Golf Course Maintenance Quail Hollow Country Club

Course conditions 3-23-18

QHCC Golfing Members: Spring is here but we aren't golfing just yet. I completely understand that most members have the itch to get out there and start swinging but we are still snow covered on most fairways and on some greens. It looks as though we may have some "warmer" weather next week; however with that weather comes a pretty healthy chance of rain. Trust that when we are able to get out on the course that we will be there. We have been able to get a few extra projects done while we have been experiencing this extended winter that I am confident our membership will appreciate. I promise that the weather will break and that our crew will be ready once it does. Jeffrey C. Austin

Winter thaw

4 Weiskopf green 10 Weiskopf fairway Golfing Members, I know that we had some great unseasonably warm weather lately, however we started still have quite a bit of snow covering both courses. There is still some frozen ground underneath the surface of most greens. As is always the case; we will balance the well being of the course with the desire to get out and play some golf. Thank you

Tree removal

The weather has not been very conducive to do tree work. However it appears that the next week or so we will be able to knock a few areas out to improve turf health by increasing sunlight and air movement to these areas.  1 Weiskopf right side of fairway.

Winter work

We have had a quite eventful winter so far with the snow and cold weather. In between maintaining a safe clubhouse grounds area for members and guests. The guys have been working on refreshing the amenities on the golf course, these items include tee markers, signage, garbage cans, ball washers and bunker rakes.  The entire sign has been repainted. All tee markers have been refreshed with new paint.  We have also started building a box for the Workman for when we do mulch. The box will aid in not dropping it all over from traveling from the shop to where it is going to be put.
